Mt Hunter is a unique locale situated on the boundary of the Shire just 5 minutes south of Historic Camden. Mt Hunter has a small primary school and a post office with local consumer needs being met by Camden and The Oaks townships. Historic Glenmore is mid way between Mt Hunter and The Oaks villages and is host to a cluster of heritage buildings including the church, Glenmore House Function Ct and a pioneer cemetery. Both Glenmore and Mt Hunter are largely rural areas with dairy and beef farming dominating the landscape. Many building services are available as home based traders with many prestige housing developments in the surrounding areas offering employment and business opportunities. Camden South is the gateway to the Wollondilly Shire for visitors arriving from Sydney. Camden Valley Inn, situated on the border offers hospitality and 4 star accommodation and prides itself on employing local youth. Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute (EMAI) operates Belgenny Farm in Camden South with events, tours and educational services. There is a common misconception that Belgenny Farm is a Camden business but it is indeed a "Proudly Wollondilly" attraction. Mt Hunter, Glenmore & Camden South students utilise Camden Primary and High Schools.
